As a simple man, whenever I see a Makoto Shinkai directed movie came out with RADWIMPS’s OST, I click. With a soaring melody and sweeping orchestration, this song brought me a breath of fresh air.

The piece 「君の知らない物語」 is a song by supercell, a Japanese pop group, and is the opening theme song for the anime series 「化物語」. It is a special anime to me. It has a special place in my heart, and that’s why I spent a lot of time preparing a fingerstyle arrangement and music video for the song.

The song 「打ち上げ花」is from the movie Firework, which is the same director for the film 「Your Name.」I watched the movie right after it came out since I’m a big fan of Makoto Shinkai, and the soft and gentle melody captured my heart.

It always brings me a good mood when I’m inside my house and it’s raining outside. I enjoy the gentle pitter-patter of the raindrops, the fresh scent of the earth, and the soothing sound of the rain, everything work together to create a calming and peaceful atmosphere. The song「Ref: rain」 gives me the same type of beauty.

The song「どんな星空よりも、どんな思い出よりも」 is called “Donna Hoshizora yori mo, Donna Omoide yori mo” in Japanese, which translates to “More Than Any Starry Sky, More Than Any Memory.” I was immediately in loved with this piece just by listening to the simple chords with harmonic intro. I would highly recommend to get the original song a listen!

Watching these works ignited my passion for music and motivated me to want to create my own compositions that reflected the emotions and themes of the stories I loved.

The Your Name series holds a special place in my early music production journey. I was first introduced to the series through the anime film Your Name, and it left such an impact on me that I decided to start creating my own music.
